Adolf Hitler

Although he is probably the most famous villain, he is not credited with the most deaths. That dubious distinction probably goes to Mao Zedong. It is a shame we don't teach in our schools the evils perpetrated not only by fascism, but by communism as well. Although the U.S. has done some terrible things over its history, there has also been no better method of government to prevent atrocities.

Despite crediting Hitler with millions of deaths, he didn't do the work of killing himself. It took a nation of regular but willing people to do that.
